V MEETING OF SOLIDARITY KARATE ✴️ Championship of the 🌎 Granada 1992. More and more hours!!!! Almost three hours, live, at the V Encuentro de Karate Solidaro via instagram Iván Leal, with the story of the world champions of Kumite in Granada 1992. An example, in each of them, of the “real values” of Karate… I think they invented the “Dojo Kun World Granada 1992” and they don’t know it…

In order of appearance:

1. JUAN MANUEL PÉREZ ALCALDE – COACH

– ☑️ TRUST, RESPECT AND ADMIRATION TO THE TEAM ☑️-

👍 He was the national coach of those world cup winners in Granada in 1992 and told us in a very emotional, entertaining, “respect” and “trust” way towards their competitors: “All competitors got medals, “abusers” were them.”.. 😃

-Teacher and friend of great competitors like Egea, among other champions.

-He commented that he had his keystrokes uploaded by watching the initial video that Ivan Leal put before his “talk” with him.

He was offered the position of coach at a time “a little complicated” in the Spanish Federation… where the equipment had to be renovated… Many of the national team took the step from cadet to the first team: Elscar Olivares, Tomás Herrero…

💪He insisted that success was the CONFIDENCE in the team, the trust I gave them, that they gave me: “I ALWAYS CONFIDED IN THEM”

😭”A lot of tension builds up, my responsibility was everyone’s. speaking of that famous photo of him crying in Karateka magazine –

♥️He insisted that the human factor is very important, to know how your competitors think, to act, to help them to get the best out of them in competition…

👌”But the most important thing is the RESPECT I OWE YOU”. I didn’t tell them they had to win, “win by the fuck, big guy, as others say”… The important thing was to GIVE IT EVERYTHING so that when they came out of the tatami they had the satisfaction of having done everything, having given everything…

👍Winning or losing is circumstantial, the other is always going to have a level, but giving the battle to the fullest is up to you.

🔝It is important to know how the competitor looks then, after the competition, “the weight of circumstances”, it is important to channel it since winning or losing depends on the moment. The “cure” way is for the competitor to know that he hasn’t been able to give more of himself. Indecision, for example, those moments, must also be trained…

✴️When they talked about the order of that 1992 Granada final, he told us that he was very thought out, even though he looked at the stands and saw people making “weird gestures”:

2. FERNANDO GARCÍA:

✴️He went through several coaches: Juan Manuel, Amillo and José María the last.

😂He comments that Juan Manuel invented OPERACION TRIUNFO DEL KARATE, Jajjajaja…

👌He trained with Miguel Angel Lopez and at 16 he went to the Gym argoelles and “I would drop some sticks…”

✴️As Iván Leal commented, Fernando was characterized by his “great timming”, with spectacular control and mental quality which meant an additional plus to others…

🔝He commented that with his stature, he trained to get all the championships as good as possible.

✴️He remembered Amador Cernuda, a psychologist at the Selection and his hypnosis sessions to competitors.

💪He remembers the tension of the 1992 Granada World Championships as if it were a Madrid Championship. They were used to it and “to put up with those pressures made everything more bearable, you knew where the limit was”

3. JUAN HERNÁNDEZ:

👍Another case of karateke competitor that does not have social networks and was created for the occasion, thank you very much.

💪They say he had the longest gyako tsuki of all… He had great mobility, was a heavyweight with a lightness of a half-weight – said Ivan –

😃Juan commented that style is formed on the fly, it is a process of polishing. He did many tests to have a very high mobility, in the ripped, he tested movements horizontally. “You start from closer and the defender’s mind is predicting something else… you didn’t seem to be focused, but you came out closer… shorter distance…”

We did a lot of karate and trained very hard, but the last few days we did more “volei” to relax the tension. Juanma gave us those recesses as the head

4. ÓSCAR OLIVARES:

✳️He trained at Mabuni and Juan Hernández studied physics and Fernando Blanco studied chemistry. Escar wanted to aspire to that, first studies and then Karate, but both were compatible.

✴️He was a Cadet in 1990 at the age of 16 and in 1991 he was already in the senior team and they were European champions (remember the marks all over his body when he arrived in the dressing room… )

🔝- Iván Leal – Egea is a God, but a close God… You are valued more personally than the professional… Being a champion ends, but with daily work and humility, being kind and charismatic…

7. TOMÁS HERRERO:
