AVASCULAR NECROSIS OF THE BONE OF MY HAND

My name is Izaskun Sánchez García, I started practicing karate at 7 years old with my Sensei Pedro Fernández in Madsrid, Spain. In 2011, as a result of my work, there was an avascular necrosis of the large bone of my hand. After three failed grafting operations, the fourth metacarpal necrotic was necroted and there was an algodistrophy, a double graft and a hand and wrist arthrodesis, thus losing the mobility of the left hand.

IN PREPARING FOR MY BLACK BELT EXAM, RADIO BREAK

Preparing the grade examination and after a defense, I broke the radius into two parts and placed a periplate flying from the radius: in total two plates and fourteen screws. After two years in the Pain Unit and with interventions every 2-3 months, they decide to implant me in February 2019 a spinal stimulator, with a cable from the marrow to the cervicals.

VERY HARD PARAKARATE STARTS

The beginning, I recognize was hard, but to this day I am glad of this great step because I am overcoming many barriers that only I stood. I am now on tatami’s foot with my son and tatami’s walk at the championships in which I participate.
